There Is A Light Badge

SKU: 1081
£4.00

This poignant pin badge is a deeply symbolic tribute to the Munich Air Disaster of 6 February 1958, blending club history with iconic Manchester culture.

The phrase "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" is taken from the famous song by the legendary Manchester band The Smiths. United supporters adopted these lyrics as a chant to honour the memory of the "Busby Babes" who tragically lost their lives in the crash.

The central clock is a representation of the Munich Clock at Old Trafford, which remains permanently frozen at 3:04 PM. This marks the exact time the plane crashed, serving as a permanent memorial to the players, staff, and journalists who died.

For many fans, this badge represents the club's ability to rise from its darkest moment and the enduring legacy of those who never came home, signifying a "light" of remembrance that will never fade.

Who we are

The Manchester United Supporters Trust is working to build a future for Manchester United where the views, needs, priorities and interests of all supporters are central to the running of the club.

While we are the official Supporters Trust of Manchester United, we are independent of the
Club and operate as a democratic Membership organisation with different membership types
ranging from Full Members with voting rights through to our Lite Membership which is free,
though without formal voting rights.

MUST IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR NEW PEOPLE TO GET INVOLVED. WE ARE A VOLUNTEER ORGANISATION THAT DEPENDS ON THE COLLECTIVE EFFORTS OF ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS.
