Seen Such Riches Flag

SKU: 753
£10.00

This Seen Such Riches flag features a lyric from the iconic anthem "Sit Down" by the Manchester band James, which has a long-standing association with the club and its supporters.

The poignant line "If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor" serves as a metaphor for the incredibly high standards set during the club's trophy-laden history, particularly under Sir Alex Ferguson.

It suggests that having experienced such immense success, anything less feels like "poverty" to the fans, reflecting their deep-seated desire for United to remain at the pinnacle of football.

Set against the traditional red, white, and black tricolour with the Red Devil crest and "MUFC" text, the banner is a staple of the matchday atmosphere at Old Trafford.

It beautifully illustrates the intersection of Manchester’s rich musical heritage and its footballing obsession, unifying fans through shared culture and high expectations.

For many in the "Red Army," this flag is a soulful expression of their lifelong commitment and the bittersweet nature of supporting such a storied institution.

Who we are

The Manchester United Supporters Trust is working to build a future for Manchester United where the views, needs, priorities and interests of all supporters are central to the running of the club.

While we are the official Supporters Trust of Manchester United, we are independent of the
Club and operate as a democratic Membership organisation with different membership types
ranging from Full Members with voting rights through to our Lite Membership which is free,
though without formal voting rights.

MUST IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR NEW PEOPLE TO GET INVOLVED. WE ARE A VOLUNTEER ORGANISATION THAT DEPENDS ON THE COLLECTIVE EFFORTS OF ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS.
