Julia Zigiotti Olme joined Manchester United in July 2025 on a two-year deal from Bayern Munich.
Predominantly playing as a defensive midfielder, she has quickly established herself as a core part of the squad, making 19 WSL appearances and starting in 16 of them during the 2025/26 season.
She has proven to be an effective box-to-box presence, contributing two goals and two assists in the league, including a notable long-range strike in a 2–0 win over Leicester City in February 2026.
On the European stage, she has also been vital, scoring twice during United’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals, where they eventually faced her former club, Bayern.
Her work rate and experience as a former captain at Brighton have added significant maturity to the United midfield as they challenge at the top of the table.
