This story looks at United from Sir Matt Busby’s last great side of Charlton, Law and Best, through those difficult transitional days of the seventies up to the mid-eighties before Alex Ferguson was appointed. There was, though, life before Fergie and this book gives a fans’ perspective of what those years were like.
The author looks at the strange parallel between this period in United’s history and the football club of today, as on both occasions the club were faced with the impossible task of replacing the irreplaceable.

Effective March 1, 2026, the French government will implement a temporary €2 tax per item on low-value goods (up to €150) imported from non-EU countries. This measure will remain in effect until EU-wide handling fee enters into force, currently anticipated for November 2026.
This is a new import-specific tax on low-value items and is not VAT or standard customs duty. It is not a UPS fee.
