AFMUP Munich Tie
AFMUP Munich Tie is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The 1958 Munich Air Disaster remains the darkest chapter in Manchester United’s history, claiming the lives of 23 people, including eight of the legendary "Busby Babes".
To honour their memory, members of the Association of Former Manchester United Players (AFMUP) issued a dedicated memorial AFMUP Munich Tie.
This independent piece of memorabilia acts as wearable history, intricately weaving the names of the eight fallen players—including captain Roger Byrne and prodigy Duncan Edwards—directly into its fabric.
Produced specifically by the alumni association rather than the club itself, the tie serves as a unique uniform of remembrance that connects generations of ex-players through collective grief and respect.
By showcasing the names of those who perished, the necktie ensures the "Flowers of Manchester" are independently commemorated by those who followed in their footsteps on the pitch.
Ultimately, it stands as a poignant symbol of footballing brotherhood, bridging the tragedy of a broken team with the enduring legacy preserved by the club's living alumni.
