Bill Foulkes 1958 Manchester United Signed Framed Photo Print (Frame L)
Bill Foulkes 1958 Manchester United Signed Framed Photo Print (Frame L) is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This poignant commemorative print features an iconic black-and-white photograph with selective colour detailing that captures a monumental moment in football history.
The captivating image shows Manchester United captain Bill Foulkes, highlighted in his striking red socks, leading his team out of the tunnel at a packed Old Trafford.
The lower mount features a detailed printed caption identifying the historic match under the distinct title, "Bill Foulkes - Manchester United: 1958".
The photograph carries immense emotional and historical significance as it captures Manchester United’s very first match following the tragic Munich air disaster, an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday on 19 February 1958.
Just thirteen days after surviving the crash that claimed the lives of eight of his teammates, Bill Foulkes courageously took the captain's armband to lead a deeply depleted side comprised of survivors, reserve players, and emergency signings.
Against all odds, this makeshift United team defeated their opponents 3–0 thanks to goals from Shay Brennan and Alex Dawson, delivering a powerful symbol of resilience and the enduring spirit of the club.
This exceptional collector's item features a bold, authentic autograph hand-signed in black ink by Bill Foulkes directly beneath the central photograph, accompanied by a clear embossed stamp of authenticity on the mount.
