1977 FA Cup Final Shirt Signed by Stepney, McIlroy, Pearson, Macari & Buchan

SKU: 699
£399.00

This premium red Score Draw retro football shirt commemorates Manchester United’s historic 1977 FA Cup victory at Wembley Stadium and is hand-signed by five legends from that iconic squad: Martin Buchan, Lou Macari, Sammy McIlroy, Stuart Pearson, and Alex Stepney.

On 21 May 1977, Tommy Docherty’s vibrant young side famously defeated bitter rivals Liverpool 2-1 to lift the trophy and memorably thwart the Merseysiders’ bid for an unprecedented treble.

Classy Scottish international defender and club captain Martin Buchan marshalled the backline with flawless composure that afternoon, proudly becoming the first man to captain both Scottish and English FA Cup-winning teams.

Guarding the net was the vastly experienced goalkeeper Alex Stepney, who provided a vital veteran presence to the youthful squad and added a coveted FA Cup winners' medal to his legendary 1968 European Cup triumph.

The creative hub of the team was brilliant Northern Irish midfielder Sammy McIlroy, whose tactical intelligence, precise passing, and energetic runs from deep constantly unpicked the opposition defence.

Dynamic forward Lou Macari played a decisive role in the match, famously hitting the goalbound shot that deflected past the goalkeeper to secure the historic victory.

That winning deflection came off clinical striker Stuart Pearson, who had already left his mark on the final by blasting a fierce, explosive opening goal past Ray Clemence at the near post.

This spectacular piece of football memorabilia features a beautifully embroidered Manchester United club crest alongside a commemorative FA Cup graphic marking the Queen's Silver Jubilee year of 1977.

It stands as a highly collectible and evocative tribute to one of Old Trafford’s most beloved and entertaining eras, perfect for any passionate sports historian.
