Busby Babes

Explore our special collection dedicated to the legendary Busby Babes — one of the most iconic teams in Manchester United’s history.

Featuring a range of products including badges, scarves, signed programmes, and signed shirts, this collection pays tribute to the young, talented squad nurtured by chief scout Joe Armstrong and assistant manager Jimmy Murphy.

Under the visionary leadership of Sir Matt Busby, these players rose from the youth ranks to the first team throughout the late 1940s and 1950s, embodying the spirit and philosophy of the club.

Tragically, eight of these remarkable young men — Roger Byrne, Eddie Colman, Mark Jones, Duncan Edwards, Liam Whelan, Tommy Taylor, David Pegg, and Geoff Bent — lost their lives in the Munich air disaster of February 1958.

Their legacy lives on through the passion of the fans and the history of the club.

As former Manchester Evening News reporter David Meek once said: "That Busby Babes team was symbolic of what Matt Busby was doing at Manchester United, creating his own players in the image of himself, to play as he wanted them to play. The whole team was brilliant."
